Jim Messerly joined Courier Express in June 1990, when his father, Bill Messerly, acquired the company. With over 28 years of transportation experience, Jim has served in numerous leadership positions in the organization and is now president of Courier Express.
Jim is involved in many of the day-to-day activities of Courier Express. He directs the sales and operations team leaders with enthusiasm and passion, embodying the unique culture the Messerlys have created at Courier Express. Jim routinely speaks with each new group of managers to inspire the commitment to excellence in customer service that has made the business a success.
He has been actively involved for many years in the Georgia Motor Trucking Association serving in various leadership capacities. He currently holds the positions of secretary, divisional vice president of couriers, and director-at-large.
Jim earned a B.S. in business administration from Auburn University. He is married and has four daughters. When not attending the girls’ various activities, you might find him grilling out or following Auburn football. Jim is a true outdoorsman who enjoys golf, tennis, fishing and hunting; he is also an avid snow and water skier.
