Purpose of the Position:

Assisting the Operations Managers in overseeing all daily warehouse processes and activities. The ideal candidate will have a drive to succeed and the willingness to learn in efforts of one day stepping into a managerial role.

Primary Job Duties:

Assist the Sort Manager in a variety of operational functions and assist in leading the sort team by example in all aspects. Ensures the Independent Contractors are properly uniformed and have all assigned freight prior to departing the facility. Ensures the warehouse is clean, organized, secure and safe at all times. Must possess a team player/can do attitude and be flexible to stay later than normal (past scheduled shift end time) if the operation is in need.

Ability to plan and carry out daily agenda with limited supervision, proven ability to multitask, highly developed organizational skills, ability to interact with employees at a variety of levels, excellent communication skills, rapid response to issues, attention to detail, ability to communicate with drivers on a routine basis.
